I took the idea of my "Sugar Cubes" to the next level. I created this lil cutie from a block of wood I had left over from a perpetual calendar I once made. Painted the cube white, drew on a face with Bic MArk-Its, drilled holes for his twig arms (unevenly I might add, gives him character.....right? lol), and made him a hat and scarf with felt.
I took a pic with my cell phone and showed him to Jeanne, who responded with "He's so CAAAAUUUUUTE!!", she has a thing for snowmen. So I made her one too, here he is with his new BFF. I crocheted his hat and scarf myself!!
Two posts in one day, wow!
Jeanne is right - they are too cute. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThey are super cute!
ReplyDeleteThey're adorable! May I ask, how hard was it to make the felt hat? (I don't know how to crochet, so I know that one would be beyond me, but maybe the felt...)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments ladies :) So much, soooo, sooo much!!
ReplyDeleteAmy as for the felt hat, I cut a rectangle of felt that was 1/4" bigger than the 4 sides of the cube and oh about 4 or 5 inches tall. Folded it in half and sewed a simple straight stitch making a tube. Then plopped it on his head, glued it in place and simply wrapped some thread around the top as close to the cube as I could get it. THen I just cut the excess into strips for the "poof" at the top. Was that helpful?
those are adorable!
