TPE Challenge #16

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant is to use this sketch by Robin Willis:
Here is my card using her FABULOUS sketch:

These are the things I remember using for this card: Papers: WeRMemoryKeepers, Border Punch: Martha Stewart (Doily), Stamp: Studio G, Ribbon: American Crafts, Cuttlebug Folder: Spots and Dots (I think), COlor Box Chalks, White Jelly Roll pen, Staz-on ink, Lt. Blue Martha Stewart marker.......I did better than I thought I would remembering lol. Oh and I used my "Walk in the Garden" cart. with my Cricut for the flower petals.

And she came out of my own brain! :)

This doll did, I thought her up while doodling last night. I created her today while my kidlets were at school. Isn't she adobo (adorable in Dan language lol, Dan being my hubba, hubba hubby). I created a tube from fabric, gathered the ends with a running stitch, covered some chipboard circles in fabric and/or yarn, and then tied off her head and made her a dress and some braided yarn arms. I am not one to embroider, it turns out horrifying so I doodled her face on with a Sharpie :) I used my chalks to give her some blush. That's about all there is to her. I luff her to pieces. She keeps me company in my scrap closet while I am creating. See, now I am NOT talking to myself lol.

Thanks for looking :)

The Pink Elephant Challenge #15

Hello there blog readers o' mine. I missed you heaps in my absence. I have no excuses except to say, my crafty mojo lefted me for the umpteenth time and I haven't been up to much craftwise. Until last night (see monster plushie in the previous post) and into today. I FINALLY finished challenge #15 over at The Pink Elephant. Unfortunately I forgot today is Monday and not Sunday(the three day weekend threw me off) and so I missed the cutoff for participating. No matter, I love how this came out. I found these flower framed mirrors at my local Dollar Tree months ago and thought the mongram/letters challenge would suit it well. What cha think? Does it look cute?? I will hang it in my scrap closet so I have something pretty to look at while I create :) Thanks for coming by and seeing what I have been up to, it means the world to me :)

These Guys......

.........Have a new edition to the clique. She is by far the scariest of the bunch. My daughter thinks she is soooooooooo cute (we are seeking a mental healthcare professional). Back to the monstrocity (which isn't her fault, as I am the one who created the pattern of her) errr monster (I better try not to anger her, she knows where I sleep!)....besides, she's alright, if you don't stare at her mouth too long. I decided to let her protect my scrap closet (and no, not in an effort to hide her away from prying eyes....O.o). Ya know....... in case we get burgled..........by a crafter. I mean seriously, would you steal from her??

Thanks for stopping by, hope my crafting today didn't scare ya too much lol.

OMG! Check These Out!!

I've come across a couple of blogs recently that I simply fell in love with. This first one .....for a different kind of girl. She writes, I read (amongst others), I laugh, I laugh so hard I almost pee my pants!! She is...well, awesome AND she posted her prom pics! How brave is that?!! Read the post, you will understand :)
Up next is a blog I found through How About Orange (which is a great blog in and of itself). It's called Make It and Love It. There is a list of clickable lovliness commonly referred to as PROJECTS!! I loooooooooooooove me some projects, tutorials, patterns, mmmmmmmmmmm scrumptious, and totally free!!! I clicked through all of them and have discovered there are several things there that I can and want to do. Must do, must try. Must, must, must. (does crafting work like this for everyone or is it just me?? Maybe I am just strange. I see a craft I like, I'm inspired. Overjoyed to try it myself.....to the point of compulsion. Like I cannot work on anything else until this particular project is finished. I gotta do, do, do it!! Like NAO! That ring any bells with anyone else? Hands? Come on raise those hands....anyone.....someone....). I hope you find something you like :) See ya later lovlies. Thanks for stopping by.

I use terms like swishy, flippy, whispy. anything with-y reall-y uh hem, I mean really. Sorry for the whacked out colors in the second photo, I was taking pics in the bathroom :) Thanks for stopping by :)

Create, Create, Create!!!

If you read my previous post, you know I went gaga over the Mini Bookcase with Drawers tut posted by Sankari Wegman, on the Stamp a Sweet Impression Blog. I finally got in my scrap closet (yes, you heard right, my closet lol), and created my very own mini bookcase with drawers. I used this silicone glue stuff and it oozed out when I adhered the boxes together. So I had to line the fronts so the ugly didn't show. That's what the pink cardstock is between the drawers :) I did run into some problems with some of the measurements. But after a little trial and error with some cheap cardstock, I was back in business. I love how it turned out. Cardstock: Bazzill Basics, Pattern Paper: Heidi Grace Designs, Flowers: Paperbilities, Ribbon: Ofray, Chipboard: Office Depot (report backing stuff)
