Joy to Holiday Decor :)

I love a project that comes together without a hitch and in no time at all. This is one such project. Or maybe it just seemed fast because I was enjoying myself. So, I started with a 10" x 20" canvas, which I flicked paint on, waited for it to dry and then covered that with green paint. Then I cut paper mats, inked em, stuck them together and then embellished each rectangle with a letter and other paper and bling, etc. I finished it off with stickles and ribbon around the edge. I can't wait til the stickles are dry so I can hang this on the wall :) Click image for larger view. Thanks for looking!!

These are the things I remember using for this card: Papers: WeRMemoryKeepers, Border Punch: Martha Stewart (Doily), Stamp: Studio G, Ribbon: American Crafts, Cuttlebug Folder: Spots and Dots (I think), COlor Box Chalks, White Jelly Roll pen, Staz-on ink, Lt. Blue Martha Stewart marker.......I did better than I thought I would remembering lol. Oh and I used my "Walk in the Garden" cart. with my Cricut for the flower petals.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #14

It's time for a color challenge this week at The Pink Elephant Blog. The colors are Light Blue, Medium Blue, or Dark Blue, Green and White. This is my card using those colors (along with a few others). I had fun coloring these stamped images. I think it's my new favorite thing to do :)

I admit I am becoming addicted to reading blogs. In my defense, I come across some really cool, funny and strange things. I would like to show you some of my finds, must makes if you will.

First, I came across Nikki's blog via her entry into TPE challenge this week. Her matchbox is totally adorable! I will be making one today. I hope ;) Visit Nikki's Blog to see a bigger pic. If like me you don't have a match box check out Mirkwood Designs for a free matchbox pattern.

I also came across these way cute Pocket Advent Calendars, I need to remember to make some this Christmas. I am trying to come up with an everyday theme so I can make one now. Any ideas?? This next craft had me wondering, and then laughing. I have decided I need to make one for my fridge. Maybe more than one, lol. You might be wondering if that's......Yes, it is. I introduce, Smelly Bum Magnets. Be sure to read the introduction to the instructions. It's so worth it.
