Valentine card box

Valentine's Day always takes me back to my elementary school days. When we hung homemade envelopes to the fronts of our desks with tape. Each envelope was decorated with construction paper hearts and each name was neatly written. Then we all got to pass out our Valentine's cards to each other. When the distribution was complete, we'd head back to our desk to discover our envelopes packed with cards of all sizes and shapes. It was so fun to open each one and read the corny expressions or jokes. The best of all was finding that one Valentine from someone special and noticing that it wasn't the standard card he had given to everyone else. This one was handmade and signed with love. So cute! The tradition is alive and well. My daughter is celebrating Valentine's day at school in much the same way. Her 5th grade class is having a party complete with a Valentine box decorating contest! Here is the box we came up with using an empty tissue box and other random craft supplies we had on hand:

He really wants your Valentines!!! NOM NOM NOM!!!

(Not so) Spooky Banner

I created this banner to hang in my house for Halloween this year. I love The Whooligans line by Bo-Bunny!! The little charcters are just too cute!! I mixed in some other Halloween papers from my stash as well as bling, wiggle eyes, flowers, and ribbon. Basically anything and everything that matched (ish) got layered on :) It was fun to put together as well. Thanks for looking and have a spook-tacular day!!

some info about my last post

Hello! It's me again :) I wanted to post the project idea sources from my last post. You didn't think I came up with those wonderful ideas on my own did ya? I wish lol. Fortunately we live in the age of computers, internet and people willing to share their creations! Let's hear it for computers!! (I distinctly heard crickets there). uh-hem, moving on. Here is the framed accordian folded papers I saw at Wendy Sue Anderson's blog, Just me....and my little world. I love, love, love her style and use of color :). A couple posts ago I create a sign for my bathroom that said, Relax. I found the project on Carole Janson's blog, 3 Dimensional Me. For the record, I want to recreate just about everything on Carole's blog. Take a look at her stuff and you will see why. She's awesomely talented!
Sadly I cannot find the link to the blogger that created this :

If anyone has seen this online or knows who created it, could you leave me a link in the comments section. I feel terrible for not knowing. Is anyone inspired to create something today? I sure hope so! If you do create something today, leave me a link! I wanna see what you do :)
Have a fantastic day!!

I made a Christmas wall hanging!!

I bought heaps of Bo Bunny "Tis The Season" papers, flowers, bu....suffice it to say that I love this line and went a little nuts with the embellishments at the Scrap store. (I don't always do that, but sometimes you just gotta have it all lol). I thought to make my own Christmas cards with it this year, but the more I looked at the Autumn wall hanging Jeanne made for me, the more I wanted to create something similar for Christmas. So that's exactly what I did. It was so fun to put together (minus waiting for the decopauge medium to dry that is, bleh). I finished it off by punching holes in each corner and connecting each piece with jump rings. I may make another one for my Mom but instead of jump rings I will try ribbon instead. I think it will look cuter. Anyhoo thanks for stopping by. I hope to have some free files posted in the next couple of days.
