Jingle Belles Card Challenge Week 1

I am participating in the Jingle Belles card challenge. There is a banner on the right hand side of my blog if you are interested in making 1 Christmas card a week using their challenges as a starting point. The idea is to have completed Christmas cards in plenty of time to send them out next Christmas. I cheated a little and made two of these guys for the first challenge of "Something Old, Something New". My "old" is the paper. They have been in my stash for YEARS! The New is the mini scallop punch I just got by EK Success. I couldn't wait to use it. Thanks for looking!!

  1. First - our card is crazy cute! The snowmen are a-dor-a-ble. Love snowmen. Though, I dislike being cold. Tremendously. :D

Secondly - Wait, WHAT?!?! EK Success has a new MIN scallop punch and no one told me?! ;) Great. Now I HAVE to go shopping. Phooey. That is SUPER cute on your card!! It looks like some kind of embroidered trim! I love it.

  11. I love your snowmen all in a row. This looks to be a fun year of challenges. Hmmm, I think making more than one at a time is a great idea. Might have to double up on some myself.

  12. I love the snowmen and I really think the papers you've used are perfect (that's a hard green to match and your ribbon does perfectly!). Yep, I'm trying to do the Jingle Belles thing too and have cards to enjoy sending out in December!

  18. Are you psychic? I'm getting around to all of the first Jingle Belles cards a bit late (it's week two already), and so I'm noticing that this card probably qualifies for the second prompt, too! Did you get advance notice? Are you spying on Steph and Lauren? Or, like I already said, are you PSYCHIC? Either way, cute card and I'm glad I'm finding fun new people to watch blog-wise!
